HM Revenue & Customs
Tax Office (HMRC)
In the United Kingdom, the Tax Office, abbreviated as HMRC, or in its full name, is called Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs.
HM Revenue and Customs is responsible for the enforcement of numerous tax, customs and almost all forms of tax regulations, among others.
The Tax Authority orders the obligation of tax returns and their content for individuals, businesses, partnerships and other forms of business.
The tax calculated in the tax return, VAT, tax advance and personal income tax, VAT and employer’s contribution deducted from the employees must be paid electronically to the Tax Authority together with many other business taxes or contributions.
Of course, National Insurance Contribution also belongs to the Tax Authority, i.e. National Insurance, but it is managed by another department.
